Unofficial Resin Setting list

We may want to make our own Open Resin List since the settings seem to be different from other competing printers.

RE: Unofficial Resin Setting list

These two pieces are actually from the same print, but post-processed differently.  The supports on the right were not washed at all, only air dried overnight and then placed in the CW1's curing cycle.  The hypercube on the left was rinsed in the CW1 as well as cured in the CW1.  This is the same IPA that I used with the Prusa Orange resin, so it might have discolored it a little.  Also maybe the fact that we are using AA leaves more 'mostly' cured resin than other printers that, if not washed off, gives it better optic properties if you cure it on than if you rinse it off.  Fresh off of the SL1 the supports and model looked exactly the same, so the difference is definitely in the post processing.  I hate to have to dispose of all that IPA after only a few prints just to see if makes a difference.

Other items of note include bubbles.  After shaking this resin and pouring it into the tank there were a ton of bubbles that I let pop on their own, but this caused about an hour delay to happen on its own.  You may not see it in this photo, but here are strings of very tiny bubbles in some parts of the hypercube.  The bubbles do not match support points but do match the same vertical orientation for the most part; I suspect they are due to imperfections of the FEP or debris that needs to be cleaned out of the tank.  I printed a few small prints in the same tank before this.  Maybe I broke off a piece of support or something.  If it were the resin causing the bubbles then they should only be randomly placed.  I will have to experiment more.

Also, in the bottom-right of this image you can see some imperfections in the print.  Those ARE related to support points.  I manually placed all my supports and was relatively stingy with them when compared to the defaults in PrusaSlicer.  That was probably a mistake for the longer pieces.  Printing upside down makes them appear to droopy except where the supports were.   There are no 'droopy' support points in the small segments of the inner cube, so I guess the lesson is to use lots of supports on the long lines and you can get away with few supports on the shorter ones.

Also of note is that this is a 'low odor' resin.  It has the same character as the Prusa Orange but subjectively half the intensity of smell.
