Size of models.

I have no problem with the delays, since I never expect that anyone meets the projected delivery, and my Mk3 ( now a Mk3S) is behaving well. That’s why I have not been on the forum whining. The printer will be better for more development time.

I preordered, since I thought that I would have enough small objects to satisfy me.

Now I have had what can only be described as a blinding flash of insight into the completely obvious. (not my first). Since models are not necessarily placed flat on the base, one can print much bigger objects than the base, and a little relaxing trigonometry shows that it is quite a lot. You all thought of that, right? 😊

Retired doc, should have been an engineer.

RE: Size of models.

Heh, it was an epiphany the first time I realized the largest, flattest surface does not have to go on the build plate if it makes the geometry tricky to print. Since then I've been mindful of putting parts in odd positions to aid overhangs and whatnot.
