Loud Silence
It is a few days from February, and there seems to be a very noticeable silence about delivery for preorders. Have I missed something? ❓
Retired doc, should have been an engineer.
Re: Loud Silence
Is that the pre-orders that were going to be shipped before end of December 😐
Re: Loud Silence
From the shop:
Shipping to beta testers starts in February 2019, new orders at the end of April 2019
At least it has been updated 😉

Re: Loud Silence
I just looked up this forum just so I could search for an update to this. Dissapointed that they subtlely changed the shipping date to April and didn't even both to tell those of us who have sent in thousands of dollars about the delay.
Re: Loud Silence
PreOrders = beta testers thus shipped in February and if I would order today it is shipped in April or how do I have to read it?

Re: Loud Silence
In addition to the change in delivery time, anyone notice that the price went up by a hundred bucks? i was expecting a price hike eventually, but since they are still in the preorder phase, i would assume the price wouldn't change until they were shipping it normally. And that's to say nothing of the delays mentioned here. i wonder if they'll keep incrementally increasing the price until they actually release it for real?
Re: Loud Silence
I don't think the price has changed. At least the bundle is the same price as when I ordered it at announcement.
Re: Loud Silence
This is typical for Prusa and their shipping tables. Always estimate to receive your product 6 months after their first communicated date. Their fulfillment tables always slip.

RE: Loud Silence
Once again, this silence is deafening! An update at least once a month seems very reasonable! I really don't mind waiting for a quality product but the silence is killing my faith in Prusa. Trust doesn't exist in a vacuum, and I really want to have a lot of trust and faith in Prusa. Please stop letting us down and give us an update on what is going on! Day 1 order for SL1 and Washing station, nearly $2,000 spent on nothing more than a promise just because it has the name "Prusa" I would never have done that on Kickstarter, but at least KS pledges give regular updates!
RE: Loud Silence
Yes, I agree with Travis. This is a manifestation of disrespect to customers. For several days, I think, maybe, is it time to cancel my order. If within a few days I do not have a clear understanding of the delivery time, perhaps I will do so.
RE: Loud Silence
I would also like to have an update, beta testers have received units and even some videos are available but at least please tell us how much time (approximately) we have to wait.
In March I was hoping for beginning of April and now May..., I’m maybe a bit too positive...
RE: Loud Silence
Even if you don't know when you'll be shipping. Something saying "Hey guys, we found a problem with the fetzer valve and our beta testers are trying out a fix for it. More to come soon thanks for your patience" is good... What do we get instead?
?
I don't know either.
Really starting to get very unhappy, Couple that with my 2/19 order for the MMU2s upgrade that I haven't heard anything on either... 2 months of back order for something you KNEW would cause a significant amount of orders? Prusa is starting to sound more like amateur hour, rather than a respectable, professional corporation.
Really, Please start working on this! I WANT to be a promoter for Prusa and I want to brag about how great you are. Help me to be able to do that!
RE: Loud Silence
I've got my MMU2S upgrade and powder coated steel plate a few weeks ago so I guess you should get it soon too.
RE: Loud Silence
Beta testing is bringing up a few wrinkles which Prusa are addressing,
I printed this Hogwarts model recently,
and didn't put enough resin in the tank,
the printer ran for most of the print and then stopped, requesting more resin... which is good... unfortunately the tiny bridge pillars did not survive the experience... 🙁
the printer sat for hours requesting more resin, but i was out.
when i got home i didn't have any more of that colour, so I added clear resin, and the printer continued... I was amazed to see that the bridge pillars began forming after the restart... they are approx 0.35mm thick at the point they stopped printing...
I try to make safe suggestions,You should understand the context and ensure you are happy that they are safe before attempting to apply my suggestions, what you do, is YOUR responsibility. Location Halifax UK
RE: Loud Silence
to check that my belief was correct i re printed the small section with the bridge pillars, and they printed perfectly when I didn't cock up the quantity of resin required...

RE: Loud Silence
Thanks Joan. Though this is not the good thread for this, I'm modelling N Scale trains now, what do you think is the smallest detail which would be visible on the print? I have some tiny screw heads that are about 90 microns in diameter (if I'm correct, 1 pixel is 47 microns) and some grill for which lines are less than 100 microns, do you think they will show on the final print or will they be blurred out?
RE: Loud Silence
hi Julien,
do you have a small STL we can try with?

RE: Loud Silence
@Joan, thank you. I will finalize the model and send it to you. Maybe I could design a test file with several lines width to be able to see what are the capabilities of the printer.
@all We’ve just received an email from Jo containing info about shipping. Complete printers will start shipping May 13th and kits 1 month later 🙁
But at least this is some news and they are throwing 2 extra bottles of resin which is really appreciated!
RE: Loud Silence
Hi Guys!
having a mk2 and working a lot with I was unfortunately trusting Prusa when I saw the release in september about the SL1 and decided to pre order it (instead of a lot of others SLA printer) and paid it since november 2018 in order to start new projects with the SL1 as hobby as well as professionally in the world of the spectroscopy.
That means that a lot of people are also involved ans asking me every single when we are going to start finaly our projects since december 2018! december 2018!!!
So I'm looking every single day if there is any updates about the SL1 and it ist since december 2018 always the same story. On the chat: "we are going to ship quite soon", on the shipping table: they are basically changing every 2 weeks the shipping start (january then mid jenuary then end of January then first half february then end of february then etc etc etc... well you understand....)
They sent us yesterday an email telling that they are going to start shipping the 13Th May..... but I ordered as a kit that means they are going to start shipping one month later (which could actually mean 6 or 12 months later maybe....).
We don't even know what's wrong with the development and why it's taking so much time!!!! And in the mean time after hammering the "refresh button" I discovered this new video from Prusa : (one day with Joseph Prusa). I was thinking... WTF .... they don't have time to give any update to the customer who are waiting for them already paid printers but for doing such kind of video they do!!!!
In the email of yesterday, they say because of the delay they are offering us 2 bottles of resin... Well it's been a long long time that I already bought the material I need to start my projects! I wrote back to say that I would prefer to get the printer then as soon as possible (than already assembled) than to get some extra bottle of resin but as usual, no reply...
I'm a french Engineer working in Germany actually and I was promoting this company because of their Philosophy to a lot of different makers and companies since couple of years but I'm loosing the faith with it and thinking about cancelling my order and buy from another company unfortunately................
