CW1 not working and NO ANSWER from PRUSA

Hi everyone,

I recently bought the SL1 and CW1. I printed some 3D figures but when I try to use my CW1, it doesn-t work. I can wash them but when I start the cure process it says that the cover is open and it doesn't work. Obviously, the cover is closed.

Someone had the same problem? Do you guys know how to fix this bug?

Thanks,

Ramon

I'm not a CW1 owner, but there should be a switch to detect if the cover is open (seen it on YouTube). Try pressing that and see if it works (don't look into light). If not I would contact Prusa on on-line chat and explain the problem.

Have a look at my models on Printables.com 😉

Might be a loose wire/microswitch mounting for the cover detection switch. I don't know how Prusa Support isn't giving you help on this unless you are doing email which might take days to respond. There are exceptions of course, you might want to talk to them when its daytime in the office over in prague, since it involves the SL1 team, support can usually talk to one of them for clarification.

Thanks for your messages.

It is wierd because the machine works when washing. So the switch is working ok when this process. Then, when I remove the washing tank and I close the cover to start the curing process shows this message.

Will wait for their answer...

You can (and it's recommended to) wash with open cover. The switch is not read here.

did you ever hear back to them. I am also experiencing that it take their support team days or even a week to reply to questions.

My guesss would be the switch, the switch for the lid is located on the left just above the hinge. The lid doesn't need to be closed for washing and therfor not reliant on the switch.

Hi @crullier,

I had a chat conversation with customer support. They told me to do these two thinks:

1. follow the wire form the picture and unplug it from the bottom. After doing that, the CW1 was still showing the same message.

2. Go to Settings - Advanced settings - Run mode ----- Change mode from curing to drying and check again if it starts the process. After that change the mode again to the original setting curing mode and try again if it works.

My CW1 start to work curing process after trying point number 2.

Hope it helps you...
