chamfered edge Help tips or tricks
hello everyone thank you for taking a look at my post. I have perfected a chamfered edge - on my print following a post I found on here adjusting layers and heights and it worked well. The only thing that I’m troubleshooting right now is that once side comes out perfectly smooth and looks great as you can see the picture and then the other one comes out a little bit rough now I’m leaning towards something on the bed perhaps I reduced temperatures a little bit it’s not horrible but it’s some thing I want to even out and was wondering what I should be looking at? I am going to try to print the model in a different location on the bed just to rule out any bed leveling inconsistencies but mostly my first layers come out pretty good but they don’t have these chamfered edges thanks for your help
RE: chamfered edge Help tips or tricks
I suppose the left side of the pictures is the bottom (first layers)?
If correct then the printer has to go up in an angle of 45 degrees or even more (not to say from the pictures).
If so, There can be an issue, (that is why we not use fillets (rounded) because that is even worse.)
If so, You could consider to choose a wider line width, so the adhesion between the layers (going up in the angle) is better.
We will do what we have always done. We will find hope in the impossible.
