Displaying Print Status from OctoPrint on LCD Screen
On my Mk3S+, with the text-only LCD, when I used OctoPrint to control a print, I would see good status info on the printer screen, including time left and some other information. (I think that included estimated actual completion time.) But now that I've upgraded to a 3.5, with the newer LCD screen, I get an OctoPrint octopus and three controls I can use on the status display on the LCD:
Since it has the OctoPrint logo there, the printer knows it's being controlled by OctoPrint.
I've been looking through menus and options on OctoPrint and on my Prusa, but I can't find anything that lets me customize this screen, or anything on it, to provide information I want. I did not find any OctoPrint plugins to help with this, either.
Is there any way I can edit this display so it includes a few more pieces of info, like expected completion time or the file I'm printing?
RE: Displaying Print Status from OctoPrint on LCD Screen
As far as I know that is the job of the printer's firmware. OctoPrint can send printing status via M73 as often as it wants and nothing will happen if the printer's firmware does not process that command and does nothing with it.
