MMU3/MK4-Mods
Just completed the MMU3 build , made some mods that seem to work well. My MK4 is in a Prusa enclosure, hard to use the cassette , so designed another method for filament rewind. All the printed items came from the WEB. Thank you to all the folks who submitted the files for the mods.
Filament rewind system is in a plastic bin with a gasketed lid and a heater for humidity. The spool stands use a rack and pinion with a 1/2 bolt as weight to rewind the filament as the MMU changes colors. Some spools need weights to balance the roll when rewinding, used fan blade balance weights.
The two test models used filament that I had on hand rather than colors model builders used. Box with spools sit on a rack behind the enclosure, made from perforated metal . Ill try and list urls where I found the models for the spool rewind racks and the mod to the header (collett holder)on the MMU3 where the 5 tubes attach, factory header gave me issues ( and hard to remove the tubes , if necessary).
