Using MMU3 printing from load to nozzle

I'm just upgrading my MMU2S to MMU3. I have seen the blog that states that only PVA and PETG filament is supported. Also saw this is because of stringing with unload.

I print a lot of Abs so would like to know how I can just load to nozzle using the MMU3 and then just print as if no MMU was attached. So print and do not unload. I can try obviously by using standard MK4 output and just ignore the compatability issue I saw on MK3. But would be nice if I could set up slicer to not load or unload filament with MMU3 profile. Any one know of any settings or commands I can use in Slicer.

RE: Using MMU3 printing from load to nozzle

I had to figure this out as well as I sometimes print without supports and don't need the multi material capability.  It mainly comes down to the Slicer settings used to create the GCode file.

You can create two separate print profiles that can be selected depending on whether you want to use 2+ materials, or just 1.

To only use one material, you need to set all your extruders to the line path in the MMU you want to use.  (Print Settings>Multiple Extruders>Extruders>(All should have the same line selected:  Example: mine are all on line 1)  You will also need to completely turn off the Wipe Tower option.  For the printer, you just "Load to Nozzle" from the MMU before starting, and away you go.

Does that help?
