MMU3 & Prusa Slicer - how to prevent layer bleed into lower layers? Single blue layer is going six layers deep when slicing.
I only colored the top layer blue however the slicer is causing this to penetrate five layers into the object. I am printing a transparent sign. The white will be clear and I only need a single layer of blue else the color will be incorrect. How can I prevent Prusa Slicer from making this blue penetrate five additional layers into the object?

Instead of using "paint on" you can use an additional component "slap" place it on top and select your color. It's a bit tricky to find the right z-hight but worth a try.

Changing top and bottom layers to 1 has helped after reading this... looking to just get a single top layer of color still...

"Segmenting colors
During slicing, the painted regions are cleverly extended inwards, giving the different colors/polymers the best chance of binding together.
The object surface is segmented into patches of the same material and the patches are extended inwards. The regions painted at the top resp. bottom surfaces are extended by the number of top_solid_layers resp. bottom_solid_layers (configurable in Print Settings - Layers and Perimeters). The regions painted at the side walls are expanded inwards up to maximum mmu_segmented_region_max_width (which is a new configuration parameter accessible in Print Settings->Multiple Extruders->Advanced).
The painting only affects the slicing result, the model itself is not altered and the colored "parts" cannot be exported separately."
