Layer Shift caused by blob on waste block

Completed build of MK4S to Core One + and MMU3 upgrade

Prints are coming out great with single color prints.

When I try multi-color prints I am getting layer shift on nearly every try. During the color change on the waste block the extruder will put down an excessive amount of filament at the end of the purge of the first color then when the second color tries to go over that blob of filament the print head is deflected and looses its position. I then have a layer shift.

This was not happening on the MK4S with the same MMU and nextruder.

I have tried different spools of PETG and different locations on the MMU. This is happening randomly at different layers and with different spools of filament. It is happening with different print files.

Talked with tech support, their only suggestions were print at a higher temperature and build a larger waste block. This makes no sense to me since it does it with different purge volumes and at different layers. One time it happens on the white fillament and then another time is happens on the gold fillament. The white is set at 240mm and the gold is set at the default 80mm. It's always at the end of the purge just before unloading the fillament.

My room is at about 20-30% humidity which is the same as with the MK4S. I have never had any moisture problems with any of the fillaments. Even printed ASA without having to dry the spool. Belt tensions are set right and there are no problems with single color prints. Both X and Y axis move freely with no real resistance when drives are disabled.

Any ideas?
