Visible colors through layers with MMU prints

The black is visible through the edge of the D and M instead of white like the rest.  Is there and option or setting I can change to fix this?

Thanks, but that is not the issue.  The white layer is only one layer thick in the problem area and multiple layers thick in the correct area.  I need to know how to force the white layers to be consistent throughout the print.

...and a lot of it is filament specific.  Translucent filaments naturally show backgrounds though but 'opaque' filaments are just transparent ones with extra pigment.  Some filaments just don't have enough pigment to block background with only a few layers.  White is the worst in this regard, a high quality opaque white filament contains a huge proportion of pigment causing it to be one of the hardest 'colours' to print.

Cheerio,
