upgrading part confusion (mmu2 to mmu3 for mk3s the mk4)

this summer I bought an upgrade kit mmu2s to mmu3 upgrade kit for mk3s (99€), then I bought upgrade mk3s to mk4, now I need to change my mmu3 for mk3s to mmu3 for mk4... do I need to spend 99€ again o I can just buy some some single parts? in the mmu3 kit I don't see any "mmu3 for mk3s to mmu3 for mk4" kit. everything is still in the box because when I buyed the mk4 kit, the mmu3 upgrade had yet to ship. Now if I mount the mk4, the mmu3 will not work because it is for mk3s, I'm right?   Or I just have to print some new parts?

thanks

Antonio

Once the MMU3 is released to production and shipping, you will need to order the cable to connect it the MK4.   You will also need to print the parts to attach it to the frame.

If multi-color printing is important to you, I would wait doing the upgrade  of the MK3 to the MK4  until the MMU3 starts shipping and you have the MMU3 to MK4 cable.

Nobody knows yet, as the MMU3 is not out yet for MK4.

Hi Antonio,
I Saw a Mk4 with MMU3 at the Sanjay Mortimer Rep Rap festival, in England.

the MK3 MMU3 components look the same as the Mk4 MMU3 Components, (There may be minor differences that are not obvious to the naked eye. the Mk4 MMU still uses the little daughter board on the back of the MMU Controller board.
BUT.... the Data and Power wiring MUST be different because the X Buddy Board has different connectors to the Einsy board.

on the Mk4, itself,  the only differences I could see, were a 'Festo' connector in the top of the Nextruder, to hold the Bowden tube from the MMU, In place, and a revised idler tension retainer, which may be to do with the  filament sensor,,,

There may be less obvious changes... but I couldn't see them on the printer

hi there, I've to print 3 files from more than 2 day's print each that I designed (for my company) and it is multicoloured, I would need it by April I can wait, but... my mk3 with mmu2s has, for some reason, already given me 3 failed prints after 24 hours of printing, at around 50%, resulting in waste of material and time. I love to have the print in mk4 especially for the significantly reduced printing time and, of course, because I already own them.  We are in March and in the pre-order I still don't see the "mmu3 for mk3s to mmu3 for mk4" kit, which I think will cost a few euros, while I see the mmu3 for mk4 kit at 369e and many other mmu3 kits while instead there isn't what I need, my upgrades (mk4 and mmu3) have still been in the boxes from almost 4 months. I leave the old configuration to allow me to still print in multicolor but with poor result unfortunately. I would like to have at least a pre-order as there already are for all the other mmu3 cases in order to avoid that there is also an "out of order" at the start of the sale given how many people were waiting for this kit (mmu3 for mk4).

sorry for the outburst but I'm loosing patience, just for chatting

regards
