It's almost October now. I'm curious whether the MMU3 for the Mk4 will come in October or whether we will be put off again until 2024 or longer.

My shipping date is now 11th to 17th of Dec (ordered directly in September). Looks like a christmas gift. But to be onest: better later and good than early with thousands of Moods to fix it.

There are a few threads about the Mk4 filament sensor not working right. I’ve had some issues with it not thinking that the filament has been removed when it actually has. It seems to me that if the main filament sensor on the Mk4 isn’t consistent, that pretty much dooms an MMU from working? Does that make sense?
I’ve printed maybe 50 hours on my Mk4. Due to a bad roll of experimental filament, I had to use short (1m or shorter) lengths of filament, so I used the sensor a fair amount.I’d say I have about a 5% failure rate, with more happening recently. That would make an MMU a real pain if it jacks with a print

@MileHigh3Der You may well be right. My filament sensor/loading is a little rough at times. I am hoping that installing the MMU3 will include some changes to improve that. As you say, if the MMU3 doesn’t nail the loading, it is going to be a bugger. Fingers crossed. I was tempted to just cancel it if it doesn’t ship soon and order an A1 Mini to use while I see how the MMU3 for MK4 pans out for people. But, at the end of the day, I’m not a fan of the company so I’m going to pass on the A1 and keep my fingers crossed. We will know soon. It’s October now.

Well, im still patient enough to wait and its already October now.
Luckily, i dont cancel my MMU3 and buy A1 🤣 🤣 🤣
Can imagine how to fix that stuff if its break.

My upgrade was ordered from Prusa the day it was announced as available to order. It still hasn't shipped.
I also ordered a PD board from Aliexpress, which arrived yesterday. I think it's funny that Ali can make a copy and ship it, before the original manufacturers of the board can get their act together.

You can't have ordered the MMU3 in March. It was not available then. Are you perhaps confusing things?

Seems shipping is delayed by another week ... now 27.11.2023 - 3.12.2023. I hope it will arrive this year 🙂

New Information by Mikolas Zuza. October is no more. Now they hope for shipping in November. the MMU3 doesn't work as well on the MK4 as they would like. Close to the Mk3 but not quite.
