All this talk about upgrading the MMU2S to MMU3, well, FOUR YEARS ago I bought one of the FIRST

"Original Prusa i3 MK3 Multi Material 2.0 upgrade kit" for my MK3S

Is this the same as the MMU2S, and can it be upgraded to MMU3?

First instead have you tried the new code yes it can be upgraded to mmu3 ising mmu2s kit but before you do the new code works a treat and there isint really need for the upgrade unless you have power issues

No, I have not tried the new code. I have not touched this thing in four years. In fact, I spent hours if not DAYS just trying to get the thing to work (unsuccessfully). It changed filament properly only just ONCE. Otherwise, it was plagued with filament jams, and the filament cutter never worked (ASA). I reprinted parts, re-assembled, the thing, added teflon feeder tubes,  etc. But the thing NEVER worked reliably. I was so pissed I tossed it on the shelf.

That is why I ask about the MMU3, wondering if it really is an improvement.
