MMU3 for MK3s suprise
I purchased the MMU2s to MMU3 upgrade kit with out knowing that it would not work with my MK4. I feel the upgrade description was misleading. The description on the MMU3 upgrade pages says, "Fully two way communication with the printer, Compatible with MK3S+ and the MK4." (original emphasis) I am stuck with a paperweight atop my printer. Now, it appears that if I want to "upgrade" this MMU3 to work with the MK4 (when available) it will cost me $299. Anyone else in the same boat? If anyone would like to purchase a fully assembled MMU3 for the MK3S+ let me know.
RE: MMU3 for MK3s suprise
Word on the forums is that you'd only need to buy a cable and maybe print some parts to make the transition. When the MMU3 for MK4 is out they'd probably say what is needed to switch.

Thanks Roy. You made my day a little better. 😀
RE:
When you ordered the upgrade, was there 2 options? - One for the Mk3S+ and one for the Mk4?
The info in relation to the MMU3 is generic accross all printers it can support. It isn't until you order that you specify the printer you need it for.
RE: MMU3 for MK3s suprise
Not that I remember. I assumed, based on the description I posted above, that it was compatible with the MK4. But you know what happens when we assume. 😏
