MMU3 Filament Buffer Disappointment

When I installed my original MMU2's, I went with the filament buffer as recommended.  The buffer and tubing introduced so much friction that the MMU couldn't load the filament.  It would just dig a groove in the filament.  I've just finished my MMU3 upgrade, and was pleased to see that some changes had been made to the filament buffer.  Although the new buffer is much easier to load, the friction problem still exists.  

Before I dump the MMU3 buffer, has anyone solved this, and are using the MMU3 buffer reliably?

My buffer has very little friction and is working excellent. I pull from a humidifier cabinet without issue. Are the wheels in your buffer spinning freely?

It should have very little friction at all (the Original MMU2s buffer, and the updated MMU3 buffer).   Change your setup for friction.  Maybe you've got a pinched bowden tube somewhere.

@Ken Hammondare you using the standard 2mm x 4mm PTFE Tubes?when I had the MMU2 working, I used 2.5mm x 4mm PTFE, When I upgraded to MMU3, Prusa sent 3mm x 4mm PTFE the larger bore, reduces friction in the feed path.

on the MMU2 I did not change the tiny PTFE  tubes between the pulleys and the selector cutter area but I added new ptfe filament for all of the filament input tubes and the selector to Extruder tube, and I made sure the bends were not too tight. this reduced the friction significantly.
