MMU3
With the new MMU3 coming out and the more powerful board of the MK4, I'm wondering has anyone heard of the ability to determine what extruder prints first?
If you have 5 colors:
1 - black 2 - gray 3 - red 4 - white 6 - purple
The first layer has black and white colors. The default is for the printer to print black first and white next because that is the way the spools are ordered. I hate reordering the colors just to get white to print first.
This could be a slicer setting/update too, but not sure.
RE: MMU3
The mmu prints the lowest number filament first on the first layer. So if your print only had white and purple on the first layer it would print white first. But if your model had black grey or red on the first layer. The lowest number filament would print first.
The mmu3 still prints in this order.
A request on GitHub may alert the developers that there is a desire for controlof the order

RE: MMU3
I am quite sure this has nothing to do with the MMU firmware. Color changes are planned entirely by the slicer.
RE:
You are right, but you tell the slicer what filament 1,2 , 3 ….is so if I was to print white text on a black surface I would put white in 1 and black in 2 . This also helps the text to be sharper looking if surface is on the bed
