3+ colors , single layer, wipe tower, purge
Greetings,
assuming I have a white in slot one, black in slot 2 and dark green in slot 3, clearly my purge volume needs to be adjusted higher when going from either dark color to white otherwise it'll show. on a single layer, will prusaslicer try and optimize the order in which the color are used, where it would do black to green to white or green to black to white but never black to white to green ?
Given that I have at least twice purge volume going to white, it would be great (if it doesn't already do it) to factor the purge amount in the slicing process
thanks
Simon
RE: 3+ colors , single layer, wipe tower, purge
Prusa slicer prints filaments sequentially and holds the last filament off the current layer, to be the first filament on the next layer, assuming the filament is due to print on the next layer.
So layer 1 in a three filament print will go
Fil1, fil2, fil3
Layer 2 will go
Fil3, fil1 fil2
Layer3 will go
Fil2, fil1, fik3
Layer 4 will go
Fil3, fil1, fil2
Etc.
if a filament doesn't appear on a layer, slicer passes it in the selection process
You can customise the purge volumes, per transition, in slicer, so you can increase black to white, and green to white. And leave other changes standard
