MMU3 Filiment to hotend.
I recently installed the MMU3 upgrade on my MK4S. The unit powers on and loads/unloads filament files correctly. However, when attempting to load filament into the extruder, the gearbox begins to click repeatedly and no filament is extruded from the hotend. It seems like the filament is not reaching the hotend.
I suspect one of the following:
The filament is not properly entering the heatbreak.
There may be a clog or misalignment in the PTFE tube.
The filament tip may be malformed during the load/unload cycle.
The extruder gears are gripping the filament, but it’s unable to advance due to a blockage or resistance.
I’ve confirmed that the MMU successfully loads the filament to the extruder, but nothing purges out the nozzle during the load process.
What am I missing or have done wrong?
RE: MMU3 Filiment to hotend.
Sounds like the nozzle is clogged. Did you replace the HF nozzle with a standard nozzle? Try swapping to another nozzle. It may seem counterintuitive, but the HF nozzles are more susceptible to clogging than the standard.
