Loading and unloading

The sheep 2 color print needed 4 interventions > make. Seemed to come out ok. But to be honest I didn't know what to adjust after.

Now I've tried a print with more 200+ tool changes. Up to 40% of the way in I had 10+ interventions. Then the nozzle hit the waste tower and started printing about 60mm to the left (x-axis). Which meant I couldn't save the print.

Does anyone have any tips as to what to fiddle with to get it better at tool changing?

Think I fixed it. It seemed that the pinda sensor wasn't at the right depth. It passed the manual test and most toolchanges, but not all.

You really need to dial this one in I think.

Print with 246 toolchanges, now flawless.

RE:

Yes the brim hit the tower. But don’t think that affected anything.

Toolchange issue created a blob and the nozzle hit that. It’s loading and unloading that is the issue.

Any tips?

Which printer are you using? And what was the nature of the intervention?

Mk4 and most of them are resolved by manually pushing or pulling filament from the buffer to the unit.

had two interventions where I had to manually unload and load the filament at the nextruder.
