MMU2S-Buffer-M10x1-PTFE_Extension Mod

To anyone frustrated with the Prusa MMU2S filament buffer, I came up with a pretty decent add-on that solves five big problems for me:
* PTFE pullout - M10 festos stop pullout
* PTFE push-in - 3mm step in 4.2mm PTFE hole prevents push-in
* Excess friction - reduced by having PTFE go through the festo and not having a screw clamping the PTFE
* PTFE tubes on both ends of buffer - Now they're on the same side in a convenient bundle
* Not much finger space to feed filament - now there's more finger space to feed filament.

It requires 10 M10x1 Festo connectors (like these from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IB81IHG ).
Print two of the parts - one for the spool side and one for the printer side. Screw the unit in using the old PTFE-holding screw holes.

The part can be found on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3545935

I recommend the improved filament roller fix and the taller Festo holder for the Prusa tray (links in my Thingiverse description).

I hope this helps others as much as it helped me!

I’m assembling my MMU at present and have some concerns re the buffer. Your mod looks like it addresses those concerns quite nicely. It will be the first print I do after setup and test prints.

Thanks for posting!

Nice, I just made an extended buffer using some extra plates (don't want to keep loading and unloading filament into the buffer), but your design even allows filament to enter from both sides, so you could have 10 filaments loaded into the buffer at any time. Did anyone try this yet?
