Re: Successful MMU2 prints

moderate success?

So this was created on a MMU2 (not pallete) but i used the Mosaic files.
the gears turn after it soaked in water for about 12 hours and i had to manually use a knife to get into all the areas where the soluble would not desolve on its own.

the Soluble lifted and caused some issues. there is still some contamination of the BVOH into PLA

i had to create a complex Slic3r setup to make it work.
the pallete files give you a soluble shape in the model but you cannot use it with slic3r as it will screw up the top and bottom layers between the PLA and BOVH areas.

i had to add a bunch of rules to the settings on each piece of the model.

the gears did not form 100% due to the soluable lifting and again there is still a weak spot in the PLA from the BOVH interface.

changes: i increased the Purging another 20mm for load and unload on the BVOH.
changes to lower speed again on supports increase BVOH temps to 210.

so it isn't 100% where i would of liked this to come out but it does work.

I see a huge MMU2 issue. The printer made pink eyes instead of Green-Black. 😆
Very nice print btw!

    Re: Successful MMU2 prints

Received my MMU1->MMU2 upgrade kit last week. Spent Saturday converting my MK2S/MMU1 to an MK3/MMU2. Started my first print Sunday morning and except for a slight under extrusion it was a huge success...

I then started my next, a 2 color sheep at 50% size. I could have increased my purge from 210 to 220 to completely eliminate the black bleed through but it is hardly notieable.

I could not find the correct settings to make it work with multiple filaments though, and I also noticed that it leaves a "glue-stick-like" deposit on the bed, presumably from the "shiny" additives. It also smelt different while printing, so it worries me just how safe to use it is. I also wonder what that deposit is doing to the inside the nozzle.
