soluble supports only in a part of the piece?

Greetings friends,

I am trying to do something a bit complicated, I would like to print the red part of the part with abs and soluble supports and the orange part of the part with abs with standard supports.

Does anyone know if it's possible and how to do it?

Thanks a lot!

Anything is possible, but with this, I think you might have to manually change filaments.

Thanks for your answer, how would you do it? It occurs to me to add a pause or filament change in the gcode, or I could also monitor the printing during the whole process and pause manually, both seem like too much work, do you have a better idea?

I would initiate a filament change:

Had you thought of just printing the interface layer with soluble support?

Otherwise don't use the slicer's defaults, model your own supports and assign them as parts to whichever extruder you prefer.

Cheerio,

This seems like a pretty elegant solution, I think I might give it a try, thanks a lot for the suggestions.
