Purging Volumes for different colors

Hi all,

I was just curious if anyone has tested out the different purging volumes for Color Changes between the different Prusament PLA colors. I was curious if anyone has made a chart of the suggested Advanced Purging volumes that would help the best for color bleed.

I know that you must increase the volumes when Transitioning into lighter colors like Whites and Yellows.

I know that this would mean 250+ different color combinations, but it seems like an interesting experiment that someone may have done for the different Prusamant Colors.

Can't help with Purging volumes,

I just wish to comment that Red seems to be quite a persistant colour in my experience, needing larger purge volumes than normally expected.

Have fun with your MMU2

Red pigments are among the strongest of them all, generally speaking. That does seem to be true also for filaments.
White or natural PLA filaments on the other side will take easily double the amount of purging.

I tend to start from the official settings and increase purging for white to at least the double, while one can get away with reducing it a bit for red or black. I don't have fixed numbers though. The best thing is you try some settings and print some mmu test cubes.

I cant speak for Prusament PLA but my experience with other random/various filaments via Amazon is that silk gold is the worst offender when it comes to purging volumes to a ligher color. Black in a distant distant second.

The XL is coming out and the MMU was generally unpopular/negatively regarded, so I kinda doubt there's been much research into the hundreds of purging possibilities. It's just something you'll notice when you do and you'll make a personal note of it for the future. Most of the time purging at default is sufficient.

RE: Purging Volumes for different colors

Hola buenos días.

Estoy intentando ajustar mis volúmenes de purga y no consigo hacer que los 70 u 80 mm3 primeros se impriman, tras realizar el cambio de color le falta por empujar el filamento creo.

Me podéis ayudar? Gracias
