RE: Prusa add/del color change

Hi Gary,

after slicing the model, you get on the sliced model screen. Right to the model you will find a slider for layers. Move it to desired layer and click on + sign. starting this layer there will be another colour (visible also on the model) , you can do it several times. To remove colour change go to the particular layer and click on x.

Double click on picture to get the whole screenshot visible.

Is that, what are you looking for?

Yes, that is what I am looking for. Only it is not that there. The option to add the color change is missing.

RE: Prusa add/del color change

You have to slide down the pointer, on the top level there is no change possible, unless you do not want to have layers in different colours, but you want to have a real multicolour print - what I see on your bed, correct?

Do you have MMU installed?

The Pointers in this one are slide together and still no option to add color change. Also this is in expert mode.  PrusaSlicer Ver 2.1.0+win64

RE: Prusa add/del color change

I'm having the same problem as Gary. I've had it before, but noticed it was gone for some reason when I tried to do a simple color change by layer with the MMU. I can't recall if the last time I saw that feature was on a non-MMU profile.

The MMU profile allows color change only by parts using a purge tower. For color steps, you need to use a "single" profile. The change will not happen automatically.

RE: Prusa add/del color change

Has this still not been fixed?!

I still don't see the color change slider when I have MMU2 as my selected printer.

On the other hand, with the height range modifier, I can choose the extruder to use for various heights. It seems like this should be the fix. I can configure the print in this way in PrusaSlicer-2.1.0+, and when I slice it, the color changes are there. However when I print the gcode on my machine there is no actual color change. Even though a wipe tower is generated.

What gives?!

How to change color for MMU

The color change slider is visible after the initial slicing is done.

First you have to set up in the Printer settings the number of the extruders.

Then you slice. Position the color change slider on the height you want to change. Right click advice you the extruder change. Change to the apropriate extruder.
