MMU2 - Brim Color

I have a unique situation. I am printing a part in multiple colors. The first layer has some text in Blue and the rest of the layer is white. The first time I tried to print, the white was printed first then blue. This resulted in the lettering not being clear. I did not know how to change what was printed first. I noticed that I had White a Filament 1 and Blue as filament 2. I tried switching the colors and put blue as 1 and white as 2. I made the changes in Slic3r made new gcode. The result was perfect the text comes out very crisp.

But by the time that part is complete I am getting some distortion in the part. The part is lifting in some places. I added a brim and that is helping. But the problem is that the brim is blue and the edge of the part is white. When I try to remove the brim, alot of blue is left behind. To remove all the blue i had to cut away from the part.

Here is my question, in Slic3r PE, is there a way to choose what color the brim will be?

I don't have the answer to your specific question, but have you addressed all the normal issues around prints lifting?

Since learning how properly clean my PEI sheet and getting my Z better dialed in I haven't needed to add a brim to anything.

I do not have a PEI sheet. I order my printer without.

The part is 50mm x 130mm x 3.5mm thick. It is 100% infill. I am getting a good first layer but over time it will start to lift. I increased the bed temp for 60 to 75 and than has helped.

It looks like the setting is Extruders - Support material/raft/skirt extruder. I will test in the morning.

Thanks.

Multiple Extruders options can change the color of the skirt, raft and support material but not the brim.

Any other ideas?

What surface are you printing on? From Prusa it will be either flex steel with a PEI sheet adhered or flex steel with powder coat PEI.

Just the flex steel.

Just the flex steel.

With a PEI sheet stuck to it.

No, I am not using the PEI sheet. Is it really worth it? I have one but have not gotten around to putting it on.
