MK3 MMU2 Sheep

Hi all,

I've recently upgraded my Prusa i3 MK3 with an MMU2 unit, and I figure the provided sheep would be a great little test run.
Unfortunately the included g-code is for PLA whereas I have ABS filament.
So I figure I'll use the STL files of the sheep in slic3r rather than the provided g-code, but I cannot get this to line up.

I should point out I'm using the default 'Original Prusa i3 MK3 MMU2' settings for the printer.

What I've been doing so far is
1) in slic3r, click Add and select the 1st STL (the sheep body).
I click settings and set it to use the 2nd extruder (white ABS on spool 2)
2) click Add again, select the 2nd STL (the sheep face etc)
I click settings again and set it to use the 1st extrude (black ABS on spool 1)

In the Platter/3D window, I can see the two STL's, but the face does not quite line up with the sheeps body. No matter what I try, I am unable to get the face to lower slightly. By default the face is too far back into the body, and slightly high - looking at the sheep head on. I can select the face and move it forward, but I've just not managed to lower it.

Appreciate any pointers you can give me to help move forward and try out the MMU2.

Thanks.

Ok, managed to work this out myself.
Rather than loading the face direct from the Platter/3D Add button, I needed to 'Load Modifier' at the same spot where I set the extruder.
all lines up perfectly so can produce an ABS G-code 🙂

Can't wait to see my sheep!

Maybe some Mod can move it there.

You could have also just edit the gcode, replace the temperature and disable the fan. Flow rate is not an issue in this case and there is no need for special cooling processes on this sheep. Should work.
