How do we minimize a joint line?
I had a print fail, so I measured it and restarted at the joint. How do we minimize the glue line at the part joint?

Usually the failure is part way through a layer. If you add a flat bottom to that there will be gaps in places at best and it may be tilted out of line so closed on one side and gaping on the other.
Place a sheet of abrasive paper flat on the table, invert the failed part and sand (carefully and slowly) the half completed layer flat.
Miss out a layer before printing the upper part then use a thick glue or thin layer of two part putty to join them.
When dry, fill and sand the join before priming and painting.

So,
1. get a couple 0.2mm shims.
2. place under the uncompleted sections of the layer.
3. clamp to a sanding frame
4. Sand with a course grit until the 1/2 layer is removed.
5. Probably leave it rough for better glue adhesion.
6. Mix the dust with the glue.
7. Glue pieces.
8. Clamp together.
9. Wipe excess glue.
