Selector Trouble
My MMU2s is quite new, and so far I printed 2 sheep and 2 lizards - and they were pretty perfect.
But I had some sporadic strange loading issues. And now:
The knife has completely escaped the selector - I found it sticking loosely on the left outer side of the selector.
Now - without the knife - loading works fine again. But I think I better print a new selector using some transparent PETG - I want to have a chance to see if there's some physical problem inside, or if the firmware is just playing tricks on me.
Do you have any opinions on the existing Selector Mods? I found those interesting:

Do I really need the knife? - I have the feeling the MMU2 might try to use it against me...

My understanding is the knife is supposed to help if a bit of filament is sticking out during a tool change. Given how the blade is positioned, however, it would only seem to work in one direction??
I seem to have my FINDA adjusted well so I haven't felt the need for the first mod. I like the idea of the second mod, but I haven't had troubles there. My issue is that every now and then it will miss on the selector side of the drive gear and spit the filament out the top.

FWIW, I have been printing without the blade since very early in the beta testing.
AFAIK, the firmware still does not make use of it, so there is very little point in having it present.

I think for now I'll try without the knife. The knife maybe helps against some strings, but when it collides with some filament I think it's just not fixed securely enough.
If I notice some problems with strings I'll look into installing it again. The mod with the service-hatch for the FINDA is missing improvements for the knife, but I think I might try this one.
