Selector home position incorrect

Hello all. I have a Mk2.5 with MMU2 and when I switch on the selector motor pushes the selector into the left hand “wall” and keeps pushing for a few seconds (making a terrible noise). It then decides this is position 1, however it doesn’t align with the path of filament 1, so nothing can load.
If I put a 2mm spacer between the wall and the selector before switch on, it takes the 2mm position as position 1 and filament can load normally.

This can’t be the normal way to “calibrate” the position of the selector - can it?

It makes a lot of noise pushing against the wall and doesn’t even find the correct start point!

I notice a lot of forums mention the middle position during a start up sequence - mine doesn’t travel to the middle, it just keeps pushing the wall for a few seconds. Troubleshooting only mentions PTFE tube length calibration, not filament feed positions.

Any advice/experience/solutions? I’ve tried the latest firmware (1.0.3) and 1.0.2 - same issues.

Thanks

Thanks for posting this, I was going crazy the last hour after flashing to 1.0.3 - exactly the same issue with the new (?) or longer (?) crashing into the left wall with badly aligned positioning after. Will downgrade until a fix comes out.

Did any1 here mail/chat support? Not sure they read this after so many days.

Prusa MK2s -> MK2.5 -> MK2.5 MMU2
