Prusa i3 MMU2S wont load automatically
We foolishly upgraded our Mk3s to the MMU2S and it has been nothing but a nightmare. Borderline useless. I've gotten it to do a few multi color prints however now its doing something completely baffling to me. If I tell it to print from sd and wait for it to heat up and load my filament it will not load it. It always says MMU has encountered an error and stops. Sometimes it trys to print the part when nothing is loaded to nozzle. However if I preheat my nozzle and then manually tell it to load filament 4 then print my part it works 100% of the time. Anyone encountered this before? It's getting really frustrating.

Are you running stock Prusa everything? If so, make sure you upgrade to the newest firmware codes for both the machine and the MMU. 1.06 is finalized for the MMU. Try using the beta versions of the latest MK3S firmware, it helps a lot as well.

RE: Prusa i3 MMU2S wont load automatically
It is completely stock. What's happening is when I tell it to print from sd it heats up then for some reason the mmu fails to load even though it has full blown extruded a literal TON of filament out of the nozzle. It always shot a little bit out but here recently the amount has tripled for no reason. I have the latest firmware on the printer. Do I need to update the mmu separately?

Do I need to update the mmu separately?
If you're referring to the MMU firmware, then YES, the MMU has its own firmware and needs to be separately flashed.
