Problem with March 1st firmware (3.6.0)

Has anyone else installed the 3.6.0 (March 1st, 2019) firmware, and experienced problems? I had to revert back to the previous version. Here is what I observed:

  • Print starts

  • Extruder / build plate begin heating

  • Extruder / build plate reach correct temperature

  • MMU2 initializes

  • Extruder gear starts running (rotating) before MMU2 even selects filament

  • Extruder gear continues running as MMU2 delivers selected filament

  • Extruder stays running, docked in the home position, spitting out a huge blob of filament
  • I've waited up to ten seconds as it does this, but at that point there's a huge messy blob being built up, so I cancel the print. It only happens with the 3.6.0 firmware. The previous version works without issue.

    Anyone else seeing this issue?

Do you have the Mk3+MMU2 (non "S") but have installed the "S" firmware version?

No, but I think you just answered my question. I have the MK2.5 with MMU2, but I installed the MK2.5S firmware. I'm still waiting on the MK2.5S upgrade stuff. So I believe that's where my mistake was.

Thanks for the tip! I'm going to try installing the MK2.5 (non-S) firmware now. ( doh! )

Just following up. That was definitely my issue. These Prusa model names are starting to get confusing! 🙂
