Print resumes at room temperature when using Color Change feature in PrusaSlicer with the MMU2S

Hi all, I'm trying to print a model that uses 7 colors with the MMU2s on my MK3S. I am slicing in PrusaSlicer 2.4.0. I have identified locations where I can add a filament change to accomplish the full 7 colors. I add these in using the layer slider in prusa slicer, adding the M600 command by clicking the + button.

Issue is, when the printer gets to these layers, it seems to run it as a 'pause printer' function rather than an actual color change. Typically with a color change the printer will beep to alert me, remain at temp, extrude the new filament, ensure the color is changed, etc. I understand not running the filament to the extruder, because I'm changing on a layer when that extruder is not used. But the real issues is that during this pause, the extruder cools down to ~35C. When I change the one filament and click the the button to resume, the printer tries to resume immediately. It will resume at that temperature of 35C and try to print the full layer that way. Obviously this doesn't work and causes more issues (ground filament spot, missing layer, etc).

Am I doing something wrong here? If not, how would I submit this as a bug? Thanks for any advice
