Ordered wrong MMU kit missing motors. What do I do now?

This was my fault (mostly).  Somehow I misunderstood the descriptions when I ordered my MK3s kit and the MMU2s Kit.  The MMU2s Kit that I ordered was the wrong one.  I ordered the one that is intended to upgrade the MMU1 to the MMU2s.  So my kit did not include two of the stepper motors that I need to build my MMU2s.

So where can I order the steppers that I need?  I don't see an option in the store titled "For you people who ordered the wrong kit here are the motors you are missing."

The options I do see are as follows:

  1. Order the MK3 stepper motor kit for $150 and just use two of the steppers like the X or Y and the Extruder stepper.  But that will be a waste of $100 since I don't have an imediate use for the other 3 motors in the kit.
  2. Order an entire new MMU2s kit for $300 and waste even more money
  3. Use some other Nema 17 Stepper motors I have.  But I don't know if that will work because i don't know how this fancy no endstop system works.  Are the motors different?  Or is it just the drivers?
  4. Hope that one of you have a better idea about how I can order the 2 stepper motors that I need.

I tried to send this question to Prusa using the contact us page but that was a week ago I have not seen a response yet.

i am using one standard size, Chinese Nema17 for the Hobbed gear shaft, and a pancake (thin) nema17 for the selector drum. and they are working fine.  they don't seem too sensitive...

one of my motors ran backwards so I changed the order of the connectors in the plug  if the plug is not polarised, you can simply turn it round.

Use live chat in the store, you'll get an answer instantly. I'd imagine they can get you sorted with just the parts you need for a reasonable price. (e.g. the cost difference)

Email replies are always slow.

Wonderful!  Thank you both.  I will try to chat with the store and if that doesn't yield results I will try some NEMA 17s I have.  I have a few smaller ones that should work for this task as long as there is nothing special required.

So apparanlty I was in the wrong store or the wrong page.  I was looking at the MK3s printer parts only.  THeir live chat sent me a link to the MMU parts of the store.

https://shop.prusa3d.com/en/43-mmu2-mmu2s-printer-parts

It will cost me more ($20 plus shipping) this way than if I had ordered the correct kit to begin with but at least I can get the recommended parts.

Not too bad of a price differential, I was expecting it to be far worse.

One day I am going to check the price of shipping and see if I can find some discounted ticket to the Prusia factory and see how much the difference is.  Then maybe just drop by and pick up some stuff, then go be a tourist.  Always wanted to visit Eastern Europe anyway.
