Need to confirm my Filament sensor is working right

Before i installed the MMU2S attachment, the only way i was able to get prints working was by disabling the filament sensor. I think its malfunctioning since i was unable to see it set to 1, when i pushed an allen wrench through the gear with the new update to the IR sensor tower.

When i activate the filament sensor, the printer keeps extruding without stopping in the MMU2S mode, and i cant get anything printed that way and when i disable the Fil sensor, it prints without extruding anything and i also notice the extruder gear wont turn.

I need to way to confirm if i need to replace the filament sensor, if there is any. Thank you for the help!

This is the basic test, the LCD report.  Some people solder an LED across the sensor output as a telltale but its only a shortcut.

Cheerio,

I managed to test the IR sensor it works

The IR sensor, did set to 1 when i put in an alenn wrench, but the MMU behaves weird, even when filament is in...it askes me to remove it and ejects some random filament and keeps moving randomly.

Weird stuff

Could be your FINDA

If the finda is sporadic this could cause this type of problem. Could also be that the cables going into the mmu board aren't making good contact.

Stay safe and healthy, Phil
