MMU2S trys to home before unloading filament

The print is successful. However, during filament unloading, the MMU2S tries to home before unloading the filament which caused failure(All LED flashes). Happens consistently for every print when using 1st filament.

Any ideas? Thanks!

  1. Have you recently performed steps 8 and 9 in https://help.prusa3d.com/en/guide/8-preflight-check_47224 ?
It's possible that the MMU2S' SuperFINDA sensor height adjustment is incorrect so the printer thinks that the MMU2S has no filament loaded when there really is filament there.  Also see the FINDA setup article https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/finda-setup-and-troubleshooting_2250 .
  2. Probably a stupid question but have you downloaded and installed the latest "ORIGINAL PRUSA I3 MK3S+/MK2.5S MULTI MATERIAL 2S" firmware set for both the MK3S/MK3S+/MK2.5S printer and the attached MMU2S expansion as per steps 5 thru 7 of https://help.prusa3d.com/en/guide/8-preflight-check_47224

Be sure to download  the single "ORIGINAL PRUSA I3 MK3S+/MK2.5S MULTI MATERIAL 2S" firmware ZIP file (currently prusa3d_fw_3_10_0_MK3S_1_0_6_MMU2S.zip) as this file will contain both the MK3S+/MK3S/MK2.5S printer controller firmware with MMU2S features enabled and the matching MMU2S controller firmware.

The printer controller needs firmware with MMU2S control extension enable that also matches the firmware installed in the MMU2S control board.  Each control board must be updated via a separate USB connection to the relevant control board using Prusaslicer.

It seems that it is triggered by turning off Crash Detection in the middle of printing.

Basically, the print got too many crashes and paused. I resumed the print and turned off the Crash Detection. And the problem occurred after print.

It works fine if I just turn off the detection before print.

Thanks any way.
