MMU2S firmware update?

Hello,

Updating my MMU2S. Although my MMU has a history of poor performance, the new firmware has changed it!

I ran a stress test with five filaments and amazingly it completed 125 filament changes without any problems.Has anyone had the same problem as me, I don't know how to fix this. Please advise

Thanks

RE: MMU2S firmware update?

Whilst I had pretty good luck with MMU2,
I upgraded mine to MMU3, with my Mk3s and found the performance improved further,
more  recently I upgraded my Mk3s to Mk3.9 with MMU3, and it's better again...
So you might consider the MMU3 upgrade as an option

Would you like to be more specific about how you experienced improvement moving from MMU2 to MMU3? I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

RE: MMU2S firmware update?

with the MMU2, there was a lot of button pressing to access features, and the progress messages were poor. using the three buttons on the MMU Controller board, you don't use the buttons any more
Some people had power problems, the new PD Board seems to have solved that,
Setup was not as easy, in the MMU2 days, and the filament sensor ball bearing periodically got stuck the magnet and vent hole, improves that
the MMU2 had 4X2mm PTFE Feed tubes which caused feed issues, I Moved up to 4X2.5 tubes with the MMU2, Prusa changed the MMU3 to 4X3 fed tubes.
the firmware integration has been improved to provide better messaging.
