MMU2 not recognized after install
Our engineering dept just changed over to Bambu machines, so I inherited an MK3 with an MMU2 partially installed. I found where they left off, tried to make sure it was all done right up to that point, then followed instructions and got to the point of flashing firmware. The printer itself flashed with no issues, but no lights on the MMU illuminate and the PC doesn't see the MMU to be able to connect and flash. After a few moments the screen shows the 04401 error, with FI:0 FS:1 F? saying MMU not responding. One of the engineers said to try reversing the cable that goes from the EINSY to the MMU, trying that all 5 of the green and orange lights come on as well as the red light on the FINDA. Unfortunately, the 04401 error and behavior is not changed when I do this. Just got out a multimeter and double checked the continuity of the wires and found no issues. What am I missing? Is the board itself bad somehow?
RE: MMU2 not recognized after install
I've put all the wiring back as instructed and flashed the printer with every major firmware release in turn from 3.7 through 3.14 in the hopes that one would allow the printer to connect to the MMU and let me flash it (obviously not with the same cable I flashed the printer with, I'm using the correct USB micro on the MMU to try to connect it to the PC) but they all give the same behavior. Finda light is on on so I know its getting some power, but the printer doesn't see the MMU or FINDA (MMU:N/A and FI:0 FS:1 F? on the respective screens.) I've tried multiple cords and ports, and Im pretty much out of ideas now.
RE: MMU2 not recognized after install
I have a little more info to add... Checking device manager in windows, the printer shows up correctly but the MMU shows up as "ATM32U4DFU". I can force windows to apply the MMU2 driver to it, but when I do it says it is the wrong driver and still doesn't work. It is sounding more and more to me like a bad board.
