MMU2 firmware?
Hello,
I have upgraded extruder from r2 to r3. Completed assembly and hook up of mmu2
Upgraded mk3 firmware to 3.4.0rc2
Having some issues with mmu2. But for this post ill focus on firmware.
The install guide refers to a separate firmware for mm2 unit... wasnt with mk3 firmware. can't find it. Link please it.
With new firmware for mk3 installed..... If I go to support on menu screen of mk3, scroll to mmu section. It displays mmu N/A - is that normal or do I have an issue? I'm thinking n/a means printer doesn't see mmu.
(MMU2 has power. It does some sort of alignment process when printer is powered on.)

Re: MMU2 firmware?
Found the mmu2 firmware right on website....don't know why I didn't see it last night.... I'll flash it after work..
Perhaps after I flash the mm2, the mk3 will see it, if not I'll come back here...

Re: MMU2 firmware?
The MMU should be flashed with the correct firmware and it should be recognised by the latest printer firmware, but this will take a few seconds after powering on.
When you power on, the MMU should go through initialisation (keep your fingers out of the way!). It will then probably re-initialise as the printer starts up. After than, wait 10 seconds and then check the support menu item.

Re: MMU2 firmware?
Ok found my issue. While stuffing all the wires into the control box the data cable from mmu2 came loose. Now i realize there is no locking latch on the connector to make sure it stays put in place attached to Mk3's mainboard. sadness
Update:
MK3 mainboard firmware see's mmu2 board. Hope connector stays put.
Thought I was good to go. Couldn't feed filament into mk3 R3 extruder.
The R3 extruder body from MMU kit had excess plastic around the bondtech gear preventing it from turning. Dissemble extruder again, file down extra plastic around bondtech gear - reassemble extruder.
Successful setup wizard, and calibration 1st layer z height.
Find a new place for printer and mmu2, with spools holders and then first MMU test prints - weekend project.
