MK3/MMU2 and Power Fail

The Power Panic feature does not appear to work with MMU2. I had a power failure today during a print, came back some hours later after power was restored, and MMU2 had all lights flashing and choosing 'yes' to the Recover Print prompt on the MK3 did not recover the MMU. The print recovered but unfortunately it continued using whatever filament was loaded when the power was lost and it did not attempt to change to the proper filament and all lights on the MMU remained flashing.

In this case the power failure happened during a filament change operation (during the wipe-before-unload operation). I had to stop the print, manually unload the filament and reset (power cycle) the printer to get the MMU working, re-load filament and then re-start the print from scratch.

I'm not sure if this is a known issue but I hope it's addressed in future a firmware update.

Re: MK3/MMU2 and Power Fail

I agree with you. in addition since adding the MMU2 it appears that the whole setup is more prone to power issues. I have a pump come on twice a day and before the MMU2 never had any issues with power. Now that will trigger the power panic and the MMU2 will not recover. MK3 seems to do fine.
