Loading distance MMU2 and MMU2S

I just finished installing MMU2S today and am running my first print with no significant problems so far.

However, I noticed that after a filament change, the printer wants to print on the wipe tower but the filament doesn't come out for the first several seconds. I wonder if this can be reduced to make sure the wipe tower is strong enough. I wonder if this is controlled by the "extra loading distance" in Slic3r. I noticed the default for MMU2 is -13 and for MMU2S is -25 and I wonder what is the reason for this difference. I'm thinking of taking the value closer to 0 on my next print to see how that goes; perhaps change it from -25 to -13? Any thoughts?

You didn't notice that the extruder is now shorter than it was before? Shorter PTFE and greater build volume (Z up to 218mm when the firmware catches up 😉 )

Did you have any luck playing with the "extra loading distance" setting? I'm actually getting the opposite problem on my mmu2. When it loads a new filament I get a blob down by the nozzle which builds up and causes the extruder to crash. Thinking about going from -25 to -40 or so.

this sounds like you have the wrong firmware on the printer or MMU, the printer still thinks its the old extruder and pushes the filament deep down into the extruder after loading but the new extruder is shorter so it start extruding already.
