RE: Is anyone using the Buffer spooler? if so, how?
I don't use the buffer either...

The buffer is just a device to keep loose loops from tangling. I didn't have enough horizontal space so like @joantabb I suspended spools above the MMU and the buffer became unnecessary, in fact it worked better without.
Although it worked well the MMU too proved unnecessary so I no longer use it and I have returned to mounting the spools on the frame.
Cheerio,

Almost nobody uses this ....
There are plenty of community add-ons to MMU to have a functional buffer. I tried 4 and finally ended with this one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3847626

I use the universal autorewinder. It was a bit tricky to figure out how to print the spring. What worked great for me was printing the stiff spring file in PETG (Prusament). I have those springs now in use for over two years and they still work fine. Other materials like PLA or Nylon did not work well long term.

I did reate my own more compact stand base but otherwise sticked entirely with that thingiverse build. While it is not necessary to use that I think it is a very elegant and space saving option once dialed in.

RE: Is anyone using the Buffer spooler? if so, how?
Interesting idea. I would need to finished the walls and build a shelf with dry boxes.
currently temporary setup - the spoils pull the tubes into the box. Then somehow the filament unspools into the box and tangled up on the spool roller.
Big mess. Failed prints.
Keeping out of trouble by babying it.

The MMU3 uses a different buffer assembly

Well, I finally just set it up. I put it on top of the Drier. Works a treat so far.
Fixed my current feeding issues.
