IR sensor issues after bad jam

Everything was printing along just fine until I decided to try some FlexPLA. It did not load well and started to jam.

I loosened the tensioner screw and lifted up the idler to get at the jam. I was able to remove everything out of it but now I cannot get the IR sensor to register. Moving it around will not get it to register value 1 at all.

If I try to print it will just keep extruding over and over until I have to reset it. The mechanical switch is definitely not getting triggered at all. I can push the allen wrench into the extruder no problems but it is always 0. I've double checked all the electrical wires and such but can't seem to figure out what I've done.

Any advice? or am I now in the disassemble the entire extruder mode?

Can you test that you have 5V and Gnd on top of

the sensor, and that the out pin goes to 0 volts when the filament is inserted

Nope no way to test that really.

Really not thinking its electrical, the way it all happened. Calibrating the IR sensor now the allen wrench going in feels different than when I built it. There isn't that click of the switch, it just kind of slides down with a little force.

Solved it thankfully. Was mechanical, I had gotten the tension screw, idler, and the idler hinge screw out of whack so the IR sensor wouldn't trigger when filament was in it. With the tension screw out I was able to trigger the sensor pulling the idler by hand so I knew my sensor was good.  Went back and then spent some time looking at them and going back over the build section for that area and made sure I had everything as documented. The IR sensor tripped just fine after tweaking those a bit and I'm done calibrating again and doing a print.
