Has There Been a Change to the MMU2S Hardware?

 With all the discussion about how deep the MMU screws should be screwed in I wonder if there has been a change in the length of screw provided or the length or strength of the spring? A number of people say their unit works fine with the screws level or just below the top of the unit. The manual also says that's where they should be. On my unit which is only a couple weeks old I had nothing but failures until I screwed the screws way below the top of the unit. Now I have no feed problems and plenty of pull to feed the filament. Support is apparently now saying screws should be deeper. I wonder if something has changed and they have not updated the manual. Perhaps there is a new spring supplier with different specs that need more tension. That could explain why the old depth instructions no longer work.

Thanks for the suggestion.  PRUSA support seems to have disappeared or they have been overcome with responding to the COVID-19 issues in Czechoslovakia.

@buchnerb

As far as I know the plastic parts are unchanged for couple years: https://github.com/prusa3d/Original-Prusa-i3/tree/MMU2/STL

The tension of the screws highly depends on your printer and filament used. Ideally you put as much tension/pressure on the filament as possible to overcome all the resistance you might get. But it shouldn't be too much because otherwise you will deform the filament too much.
