RE: Firmware update problem after MMU3 upgrade
I AM RIPPING MY HAIR OUT!
I recently wanted to get my MMU2S back up and running, and started by updating the firmware on the printer to the latest version, and ran into the bootloader issue when I went to update the MMU firmware. Here is what I have tried so far:
-using different USB cords-using different computers (both Mac and PC)
-making sure Prusa Slicer is up to date-rolling back to older versions of printer firmware and trying to flash the corresponding MMU firmware
-pressing the reset button on the MMU during the flashing process
-doing a hard factory reset on the MMU
-starting the flash process with the printer off and then immediately turning the printer on
-turning the printer on and then immediately starting the flash process.
After communicating back and forth with Prusa support for awhile, I bought a new control board and wires because I assumed it was a physical issue with the board's USB port, and now with a new board the exact same issue is happening where it says:
"Flashing Original Prusa Multi Material 2 & 3 Upgrade (bootloader), looking for VID/PID 0x2c99/3 or 0x2c99/4 ...
The Original Prusa Multi Material 2 & 3 Upgrade (bootloader) device was not found.
The Original Prusa Multi Material 2 & 3 Upgrade (bootloader) device could not have been found
Has anyone solved this? I feel like I have tried everything.
