Filament warped after color change in MMU2S
Until now I cannot be able to finish a print without my intervention. Every 3 4 color change I got a "MMU loading failed" and
the filament looks streched, when I cut the problematic part the printer continue. I checked the idler tension and the gears alignment and seems to be correct.
What can I do to finish a print without my help?
RE: Filament warped after color change in MMU2S
Looks like the extruder or MMU gears eat into the filament. I had the same problems when I started using the MMU. In my case the problem was too much drag within the whole systems. The passthrough adapter on the MMU ( https://www.prusaprinters.org/de/prints/6605-prusa-mmu2-ptfe-holder-m10-passthrough-adapter) and some ID 2.5mm PTFE tubes between buffer and MMU solved my issues.
To check, disconnect PTFE tube at the extruder and feed in filament manually (from spool, through buffer, MMU, selector and PTFE to the lower end) and try to pull it (like the extruder would when printing). It should move quite easily (make sure the MMU idle is not engaging the drive gear).
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
