can pulley rotation during printing is possible?

For loading and unloading the filament, I can see that the pulleys in my MMU2 rotate. Up till this point, everything is correct. However, during printing, the pulleys are stationary, therefore the filament is only loaded by the extrusor's motor. Does it act normally? Or is there a problem?

Good morning Andew,

the MMU pulleys feed filament from the parked position in the MMU, to the Bondtech gear in the extruder, when the extruder filament sensor triggers, the MMU2 pulleys stop rotating and the drum rotates to remove pressure from the filament between the pulley and the roller.

Att his point, the extruder bondtech gears control filament movement throughout the print section for that filament.

during retraction, the bondtech gears control the initial retraction/ tip shaping moves and then eject the filament until the filament sensor untriggers, at which point, the MMU Drum rotates to place the pressure roller above the relavent pulley, and the MMU2 unloads the filament, until the tip of the filament un triggers the Finda sensor, the pulley continues to move the filament to the parking location, (Just Clear of the Filament selector  inside the MMU2 Body

I try to make safe suggestions,You should understand the context and ensure you are happy that they are safe before attempting to apply my suggestions, what you do, is YOUR responsibility. Location Halifax UK
