Which color to print first

Hi 😀

Is there any way to decide in which order to print colors in prusaslicer? When trying to create e.g. logos with delicate letters it would be better to first print the surrounding colors - then the letters....so it will stick better to the plate.

Guess there is a setting for this - just can't find it 😀

To clarify what I mean here - is there a way to decide the order of filaments on the first layer of the print? If you have small details on this layer it would be better first to print the surrounding color so this would have the effect of a brim.

Prusa Slicer starts the first layer with the lowest number filament that is used on that layer so if the first layer is  5 colour then it will use filament in the order

1,2,3,4,5 then it will step to layer two and print

5,1,2,3,4 then step to layer three and print

4,1,2,3,5  layer four will print

5,1,2,3,4 this will repeat until one of the filaments is no longer used when that filament is stepped over. but the filaments will scan low to high, for all of the colours /filaments on that layer, and the last colour on the previous layer, will be the first colour on the next layer, to save filament changes.

I hope this helps.

@joantabb

Hi Joan!

Indeed that helps my understanding - then I just need to plan the order of the filaments. Still though - it would be a nice feature to actually be able to override this on the first layer 😉
