Unfortunate power panic test

Good news/bad news.

I'm printing a red/purple lizard (testing out some settings for Inland PLA+). Going great. We have thunderstorms in the area and the power glitched for 1/2 second. Of course, since I moved my mk3 across the room to have space for the spool holders, I'm connected directly into the wall, not into my UPS.

This is the first time I've ever seen the mk3 power panic function. I'd never tried it before. It worked perfectly! The extruder had lifted up and to the side when I went upstairs, and as I watched it reheated the nozzle and started up again. Amazing.

And useless. The MMU2 was flashing all red, as it had reset and detected filament in the FINDA. It was therefore completely ignoring mk3 input. At the next unload, the MMU2 did nothing, but the mk3 seemed to assume the unload/reload had occurred, and kept going. I think I would have had a single color print after that.

It sounds like the mk3, when it powers up and detects it is mid-print, needs to send a command to the MMU2 saying "don't worry about it!" The mmu2 can then listen to commands, and at a minimum be able to unload the current filament. At the next unload, the mmu2 could do a full reset to allow it to detect it's position.

Not a big deal for me, I'm back on the UPS again.

Re: Unfortunate power panic test

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate power issue. I had been wondering if PP would be setup for MMU2 as yet and this answers that question.

I like you're approach and hopefully PRUSA devs can look into it soon so we can all sleep better seeing Storm season is upon as.
