The MMU2s will load filament when tip is not hot
Hi
I have the MMU2S and MK3S - when I insert the SD card and chose the file to print the unit will start loading the filment into the tip even if the tip is still cold . this results all the time in msg error that the MMU2 needs to be checked .
why would it try to load a filament if the tip is cold?

It is normal for the filament to be moved from MMU2 to extruder before heating is complete. It should be pushed only to the extruder gears and not the hotend, so it does not matter that the hotend is not to extrusion temperature yet. Once the printer has homed and moved to the start of the purge line, then the filament will be pushed to the hotend.
Have you tried checking the extruder filament sensor? If it is not detecting the filament then that might result in going too far.
